Around the World with two heavy bags...

From Russia with love...
Well I arrived safely in Russia...
Trans-Siberian vs. Trans-Mongolian
Before I forget.... someone (Alistair K), questioned the fact that I kept saying I was going on the Trans-Siberian railway.
Well, although I'm going to Beijing via Mongolia, I will actually be travelling on both... so there you are - we were both right ;)
On your mark, get set...
...go! Tomorrow is my last day in Norwich, well for a while anyway.
The last couple of days have been filled with last minute prep and a few 'farewell' drinks and meals, both family and friends. Loads of people seem to be getting pregnant or having babies. Must be something in the water.
I'm pretty much ready to go... today has been quite stressful, hence the loate post - the last from my laptop here at home.
This morning I had to do some last minute shopping... including razor blades to reduce the weight of my pack a little bit more. I also made a visit to Big Yellow... as there was something that I needed that I'd packed into storage (fortunately in the first box I opened)!
The packing... well I packed, then I repacked... without my main camera equipment and few other items. Having seen Matt's photos from Nepal... I'll be repacking again in the morning!
I have been trying to think of a title for my adventure... but I'm too tired, so "Around the World with two heavy bags" will have to do for now.
Aaaaaaaaaaaargghhh... scuppered before I start!
Last night I recieved and email from Dragoman (tour operator for my Hong Kong to Khartoum journey)... they've cancelled the first leg of my journey!
Travel itinerary update...
Here is my latest itinerary for those interested...
It is much as before, but I'll be away a bit longer as I have added another leg to my Dragoman trip (Cairo to Khartoum in Sudan). I've done this as Egypt is one of my top 5 places to visit and it seemed silly to get all the way there and not see the rest that Egypt has to offer.
This list is in the order of travel
